Spring Showers Means Spring Assessments

The Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) will be taken by all third grade students March 5-9, 2012. Students will take six tests covering both math and reading. It is very important that your child come to school well rested and having eaten a nutritious breakfast throughout the testing period. I also suggest that you select comfortable clothes for your child to wear as they will be required to sit for extended periods of time. The ISAT tests are the most important exams your child will take all year and they are vitally important to our district.

On Wednesday April 24th and Thursday April 25th, the entire junior class will be taking the Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE). The PSAE is a state achievement test that will test students in the areas of reading, mathematics, science and writing. The examination is required for graduation in the State of Illinois.

The PSAE is administered over two days and will be given at the Methodist Church in Milledgeville. It is essential that all students attend these two days as there is no flexibility in make-up dates.
