Notes From The Superintendent
This week we will celebrate the
Thanksgiving Holiday. I would like to
take the time to say I am thankful for
our staff, students, parents, and
community. All of these parts are
critical to the education of our
students and the success of our
district. We are an excellent district,
but we are striving to do better. This
year we are concentrating on instruction
and communication within the district.
The staff has spent their school
improvement time learning about
differentiated instruction and Response
to Intervention. Many of you during
Parent-Teacher Conferences heard how we
are monitoring students’ reading ability
and what we are doing to increase
reading ability in grades kindergarten
through fifth grade. We will be
expanding this program to the junior
high and high school next year. We will
also be expanding the program to math.
It has been an exciting fall for our
sports and fine arts teams. I have never
measured our coaches’ ability on
conference titles or victories. I
instead look to see how our students
display sportsmanship, integrity, and
work ethic. In these areas our students
are unmatched and our coaches and
sponsors deserve credit for demanding
these values in their athletes and
students. Whether its band, chorus,
football, golf, volleyball, or the play,
our students have excelled in almost any
measurement.
I hope everyone enjoys their
holidays. I’m sure I will see many of
you at sporting events or Winter
Concerts. If you have any questions or
concerns, please stop by and say a few
words.
Thank You,
Roy Webb
