Procedures for Pick Up of Student Belongings & Drop Off of School Equipment and Textbooks

Who:               Students in grades Kindergarten-11th Grade.

What:              Parents/students will pick up belongings that will be bagged and return laptops and textbooks.

When:             Families are assigned a specific pick up/drop off day based on the first letter of their last name A-Z

                       

Pick up/drop off will occur at both Chadwick and Milledgeville Schools from 2:00-7:00 P.M each day.

      • Wednesday, May 27, 2020 Last name A-G (2-7 P.M.)
      • Thursday, May 28, 2020 Last name H-Q (2-7 P.M.)
      • Friday, May 29, 2020 Last name R-Z (2-7 P.M.)

 

Where:            Chadwick School drop off/pick up will be located at the garage door on the south end of the building. (old ag shop)

                       

Milledgeville School drop off/pick up will be located at the garage door on the north side of the building (weight room).

How:               On your assigned day between 2-7 p.m., drive to your student’s school. (If you have students in both Chadwick and Milledgeville Schools you will need to go to each school)

 

Stay in your car! District staff will approach your car from a safe distance.

                       

Parents/students will provide district staff the first and last name of their student along with grade level.

                       

District staff will retrieve bagged items that has been sealed and labeled with your child’s name/grade level and hand it to you while you remain safely in your car.

 

The bagged items will contain personal belongings found in student’s desks, coat closets, lockers, P.E. lockers, etc…

 

Laptop/Textbook/Library Books/School Property Hand In: District staff wearing PPE will retrieve from your car window laptop/textbook/library books/school property. The district staff will label the laptop and textbook with tape and write the students name, grade, and homeroom on them. If a laptop/textbook/library books/school property is damaged the student will be charged for replacement or repair. If the student has insurance that will be confirmed.

 

At no time should parents/students get out of the car. Entry in school facilities is prohibited.
