Positive Case at Milledgeville High School

This release is to inform you that a Milledgeville High School student has tested positive for COVID-19.
The student experienced mild symptoms consistent with COVID-19 on Tuesday morning and was kept home by his parents. The school district has contacted the Carroll County Health Department as well as Regional Office of Education #8 to inform them of this positive test. The student has been self-quarantined since the onset of symptoms.

All parties who have been exposed to the student through school activities have been directly notified and informed that they are restricted from all district activities for a period of 10-14 days from the time of last contact with the student. Students who have been exposed will transition to remote learning during their quarantine.

Chadwick-Milledgeville CUSD #399 deep cleans each space on a daily basis and an additional sanitation of all school spaces will be conducted this evening. The school district encourages all community members to maintain safe social distances, wear masks in public and wash your hands so that we may all help our students continue to return to school safely.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact District Nurse Andrea Camper at 815-225-7141.

Thank you and be safe!
